Tina, Connie, JaneY and Andy Greener last night for a minigig in Reading, Helen and I finally went to bed just after midnight, only to be woken at 5 am by the alarm. Having packed the car, sunk a coffee or three we finally left home at 6am heading in the general direction of Macclesfield, a journey which eventually saw us on board Blue Heron at 10:45 am having spent well over an hour sat on the M6 (and not moving). After unloading ourselves and our gear we consulted with Ged as to the location of the local Tesco, provisions purchase for the purpose of. Shopping over and stowed, Helen concentrated on internal aspects of BH while I dealt with various external tasks, water, gas etc. Checked the engine bits and pieces and general prep for the off. Having Manouvred BH from her berth to the Diesel Pump and replenished our fuel supply we finally left MCC at 14:45 and within the first hour I'd had the weedhatch up to relieve the prop of one of those horrible nylon shoppting bags that looks like a deckchair cover.he 'Rob Bosley locks soon appeared and we started down these 12 at 1730 finally exiting Bosley Bottom Lock at 19:25 Obviously we,d had someone go down ahead of us as the first six locks were in our favour while the second set of six were against us. Here we ag ain took Ged's advice and headed on to Br 61 to moor with the sole purpose of visiting the 'Robin Hood' public house where the food was excellent, the hospitality was good and the overall ambience of the place has to be experienced to be appreciated fully. Now we're back on board, I'm going to hit the sack Night all. -- Regards, one slightly shattered Tony Mealing As You Do. ---
