Setting off at 09:15 and taking a very sedate cruise today as our target was only going to be the italian restaurant at Wheelock. This all changed when we arrived as the moorings were full at twelve o'clock midday. In retrospect this was a good decision as there was an hour and half wait at the Lock at Malkins Bank due to BW closing one of the twin locks for repairs. We therefore decided to give the 'Romping Donkey' at Hassels Green another chance and duly arrived above Lock 57 at around 15:20 hrs. Pottered about for an hr, cught up on a n hrs sleep then went for dinner around seven pm. The menu choice was reasonable, with prices around GBP6.50p a price which appears to be the average for this trip. Tomorrow we're planning to stop somewhere near Br 49 on The Macc to leave us a short run to base on Friday. One other note to mention, over the past six days I haven't been collecting any email when sending these reports, any comments, retorts or remarks will be answered when i return home on sunday and catch up.
