And I was still out of my pit by 06:00. So we had an early start again. Wonderful feeling being on the move before the world wakes up. All locks were set in our favour through to Barbridge Jct where we stopped for a water fill before moving up to the visitor moorings for breakfast. An hour later we were on the move again and managed to reach Hurleston juntion before disaster struck, (don't panic Stan & Judy, it was only the throttle cable snapped). So we made a call to Nantwich canal centre who were on site within twenty minutes with a new cable, fitted it into about the same time, releived us of sixty five squiddly's and we were on the move. All in less than an hour. Must say I was impressed by the service. It was while we were sat waiting for the bottom lock at Hurleston to be vacated that Helen finally received the call from Orange that we had been waiting for for over a week, so now I should be able to communicate via email - wrong! the blasted server at home had gone down, another phone call and that was sorted. It's been working happily for the past three weeks and decide's to go down while we're away, typical. Fortunately I have a contingency plan, a friend of mine is holding a key for just such an eventuality. OK so were back on the move, nice little run up to Wrenbury where we currently are, mind you it's been raining since we left the top lock at Hurleston, and it's still chucking it down now. Oh well! Life goes on. Jackie, if you have trouble with accessing the server please ring me on my mobile. 07947 530220 as soon as poss, I can then get ian to go in and reset it. Til tomorrow then.......! As you do. Tony M ---
